Villa de Leyva

 

 

Last year I visited Villa de Leyva during Holy Week, it is a beautiful place and very special at night, but we should have gone on another date. Because it was a seasonal date, there was a lot of traffic entering the town, and even walking was very difficult. The lines to enter the most famous places such as those selling chocolate were more than 1 hour long, if we had gone on another date we might have been able to see those places. 

We were in Villa de Leyva for 2 days, then we would go to Punta Blanca to camp but after the bad experience with traffic we decided to return that same day and not go camping. Later we regretted that, we would have gone camping because we were in traffic for 5 hours to get to Bogota and we got home very tired at dawn.
